Martin Marciniak joined Chiesi in 2021 as Vice President, Medical Affairs. He has decades of research and leadership experience across various therapeutic areas such as oncology, neuroscience, and cardiovascular disease. Martin previously served as a non-voting industry representative to the Medicare Evidence Development & Coverage Advisory Committee for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, a board member for the National Pharmaceutical Council Board of Directors and the Editorial Advisory Board for Value and Outcomes Spotlight, an ISPOR publication. Prior to joining Chiesi, Martin was Vice President, US Medical Affairs, Customer Engagement, Value, Evidence & Outcomes at Glaxo-Smith Kline.

Martin has also served the broader healthcare community, most recently through invitations to engage in public forum discussions at BioCentury TV and the FDA/CMS Summit.

Martin holds a position of Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the University of North Carolina’s Eshelman School of Pharmacy. He has a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University, and a BS in Pharmacy from Purdue University.
